Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp Butter or coconut oil
- 2 Cups Mini Marshmallows
- 3 Cups Rice Krispies
- 1 Tbsp Milk
- Orange (gel) food colouring
- Pretzel sticks
- Green Icing/frosting Optional
Instructions
- Measure out your ingredients and set aside. Line a board with baking paper or a silicone baking mat and cut the pretzel sticks to the desired stem length if they are too long
- Prepare a large mixing bowl and a small bowl of oil for your hands as the mixture is super sticky to work with
- In large pot or saucepan, melt the butter over a low heat, then add the marshmallows and stir until they start to melt. Add the milk and continue stirring then add the food colouring a few drops at a time and continue to stir until completely melted and the desired colour is reached
- Add the rice krispies and stir until totally covered
- Turn the mixture out into the large bowl you set aside earlier
- Next, you can wear gloves or use bare hands as I did, but whichever you choose you will have to continue oiling them well as this is a super sticky mixture. You will also need to move quite fast as the mixture is hard to shape when too cool
- Take a golf ball sized amount of mixture from the bowl and roll it between your oiled hands, then push the pretzel stem into the top and set aside on the baking paper. Repeat until you have used all the mixture. I get 18 golf ball sized pumpkins out of this mixture
- Place in the fridge to set for around an hour, then decorate as you wish
