I love fruit smoothies. They’re a great way to increase and camouflage your nutrient intake. I am sometimes a little sensitive to dairy, and I don’t particularly like ‘milky’ smoothies anyway, so this is a great alternative for me.
I often have a few leftover bits of fruit that I pop into the freezer before they go bad. This often happens with my bananas and I don’t always have enough for a banana bread, so I usually just slice them up and freeze them for smoothies or banana ice cream. While I eat fresh fruit daily, I sometimes also like to buy the fruit mixes in the frozen section of the supermarket. Having everything already frozen means I don’t have to add ice to my smoothie and it gives a great creamy consistency without adding any milk element. It also literally takes 2 minutes to prepare.
