Spider Cupcakes anyone? These might look a little creepy, but they’re utterly delicious. Double chocolate chip cupcakes, cream cheese frosting topped with Lindt dark chocolate spread webs and spiders made from Lindt Lindor extra dark chocolate bodies and dark choc fruit sensations for the heads.
Look impressive? The only element that needs to be homemade, unless you can find a good ready made alternative, is the frosting. Feel free to buy ready made cupcakes or cupcake mix if you’re not a great baker. These are super quick and simple to put together and look super impressive.
I made the legs from piping melted dark chocolate into v shapes and letting them set in the fridge, but you could just as easily use pretzel sticks or liquorice for the legs. If these are for a younger palette, feel free to substitute the dark chocolate for milk or white, and you could use any brand of round chocolates for the spiders and any ready made chocolate spread or dessert sauce for the webs.
